good-bye purple carpet

I truly don't know what year this PURPLE carpet was installled (I am betting it was at least 30 years old) but it was in my parent's bedroom and has been for as long as I can remember. As part of the remodel/repair, it was going to be the only carpet not getting replaced so it has now been removed and replaced with some lovely brown carpet. I can't wait to see all the progress this week-end but I have to admit....that bedroom minus the purple carpet is going to feel weird!!!

big ole mess

Carmi kitchen remodel still underway....this is what it looked like 2 weeks ago ....

new look for Carmi kitchen

The kitchen floor damage at my Dad's has promted an impromptu kitchen remodel including some new cabinets and countertops. I don't want to spend a FORTUNE on it but I want it to look nice. This is the Lowe's version (above) of the cabinets I like.

And this is the Menard's version....

I will update photos of the progress as it goes along!!!

SUPER AJ TO THE RESCUE

Super hero underwear plus Buzz Lightyear super cuffs plus Dora backpack plus teddy bear ears from daycare = SUPER AJ

here he poses as the cute Super hero....

BUT when the evil villian Sean emerges, SUPER AJ pounces into action and uses his Buzz Lightyear cuffs to shoot the enemy! SUPER AJ TO THE RESCUE!!!!

can you get any closer, AJ ???

A) where is his right sock?

B) take note of tight end/linebacker/safety body build

C) he is standing so close so that he can block Sean out from the tv....(AJ you aren't tall enough yet to block Sean from the tv)
