new dining room !!!

when we moved into our house in 2002, it was FULL of wallpaper. And some of it was fine and some of it ....not so fine. Below you will see the transformation of my dining room.
the picture above is what my dining room started out like....upper wallpaper, border at chair rail, different paper on bottom. A little bit.....too much for my liking.

so, in the Fall of 2002, Jeff stripped off all the upper portion of paper and painted the top 1/2 "Bloomington Beige" It was a HUGE improvement!

now pleae take note of the mauve flowers in this wallpaper that was left behind----it finally came to the point that I could take it NO MORE !!!

so the bottom half of the wall was stripped of the wallpaper ....yeah!!!

progress is looking GOOOOD!!!

The painter got the first coat of new paint on top and and bottom....getting excited!!!

FINISHED PROJECT !!! I love the color of the walls and the new look! YEAH!!!!

Things to do when you are bored

a few of my weekend favs

all week long, we kept hearing we were going to have some bad weather for Christmas Eve...and since we apparently live in the snow capital of the world, we did get some S N O W. So on Christmas Eve we found a small hill close to our house and took 4 sleds out for some fun. no one was injured and everyone had lots of fun!!!

Sean like running down the hill like a Little House on the Prairie scene...AJ loved the saucers!

we left out cookies for Santa but we forgot the milk and we also forgot the stockings. oops! Santa still found us and brought some super cool stuff!!!

we spent lots of fun time in Addison at pajama Christmas party and got to see baby Ryan....he is such a cute!

and the best part of it all was spending time with Shelby and Bobbi ...so our whole family was together. That makes moms happy. Always.
