so we made it to and through Thanksgiving...but of course AJ got sick on Tuesday and Sean ended having a brief relapse but we made it to Carmi for Turkey and we are home tonight. In our chaos before departure, I forgot my camera so I don't have pictures :(

Shelby was trying to get home today for a gig he has in Chicago this evening and when we arrived in Bloomington, his buggy was DEAD. After a brief rush to find transportation, our neighbors daugher, Sejal, just happened to going there this afternoon so Shelby caught a ride...it's always something!!!!

So Sean has already moved on to Santa and Christmas. He wants two presents. In the first box, he wants Tacka Power JuJu Video game and for the 2nd gift, he wants a secret surprise. now the big problem...we don't know what Tacka Power JuJu Video game is and how do we know what the secret surprise in box 2 is...this is gonna be a tough year!!!!

The weekend has been just shy of unbearable. Jeff came home from work at noon on Friday with the flu, I developed some symtoms on Saturday and then Sean woke up at 3 a.m. today vomiting. I am crabby and tired of cleaning up messes...UGH. AJ is tired of it all too...he has taken to high ground to try to avoid the crud!!! We did manage to play some playdoh games before the plague hit us...and AJ my little barista helped me grind the coffee beans for Saturday morning cup-o-Joe. And as promised, a shot of Sean with his cupcake he proudly made last weekend.

I would love to work at Starbucks but I am too short...

I am going to be a a cook like my daddy when I grow up...maybe I will be a pastry chef!!!

Oil of fruit, eggs and cheetos

so on Sunday, we decided that while AJ napped, we would help Sean make cupcakes. We had a cake mix but needed some ingredients. So Sean helped me assess what we needed and we started a list: oil and eggs. As we left the house, Sean said "we need 3 things, oil, eggs and cheetos." I was hoping the cheetos were snacks and not an ingredient in some way...

so we got the vegetable oil (which later Sean tabbed as oil of fruit) eggs and cheetos and make some delicious funfetti cupcakes. I will attach a picture later but they turned out great and the cheetos were a nice distraction while the cupcakes were baking...YUM

Baby Sean turns 5

Today was Sean's golden birthday---5 years old on November 5th. He celebrated at school w/ cookies and juice boxes with his friends Seth, CJ and Cam along with his teachers. Then tonight, Doug joined us for pizza, cupcakes and gifts. It was a great day...although Sean is still convinced his birthday is tomorrow. In honor of the special day, I thought it would be fun to share his 1st birthday messy cake shot. Baby Sean is growing up! Happy Birthday Sean!!!
